As far from the world
as agreeing with it

This series was created during my stay at the Chashama residency in upstate New York. The place is a fairly secluded 19th century farmhouse, and I happened to be the only person there. It presented an opportunity to work with the house itself, a large place of habitat, devoid of human presence, filled with furniture of age past and discarded artwork.

The title of the series comes from a poem Some trees by John Ashbery.
