There is a short leap from art as depiction to art as worship — when the piece is no longer of or about the object, but to it. Traditional cultures knew this when they treated a sacred grove as both a habitat of a god and the god itself, the non-duality of entities linked through practice. Not that they ever needed our paints to begin with. Gratitude is what it was always about.

This series was produced after a number of poems previously published in the book Выбранной ветки in 2017. It was shot on Far Rockaway, New York.
